Quest Guide: Groundbreaking

Blue Gate walkthrough for Groundbreaking with objectives, prep, route order, and extract notes.

Groundbreaking is a recon in ARC Raiders. This version is written as a practical raid plan: what to bring, the order to run the steps in, and what usually kills the run once the quest is technically done.

Objective list

  • Enter the locked room at Pilgrim's Peak
  • Search the room for any construction research
  • Find the building pictured on the whiteboard
  • Photograph the abandoned housing project

What to bring

  • A reliable mid-range primary and a sidearm or close-range backup; most quest deaths happen while rotating, not while looting.
  • Stamina-friendly utility like smoke or a distraction item, because recon steps usually force you into exposed rooftops, offices, or dead-end rooms.
  • Enough meds and shields to survive two rotations; multi-location quests punish players who arrive at the final step with no resources left.

How to run it

Plan the raid around the first named objective and your nearest safe extract, not around the fattest loot route. If the quest item drops into your inventory, the raid is now an escort mission and everything else is optional.

  1. Step 1: Enter the locked room at Pilgrim's Peak

Treat this as a hard objective, not a side stop. Finish the interaction, confirm the quest tracker updates, then rotate before the next squad arrives.

  2. Step 2: Search the room for any construction research

Once you are at the point of interest, clear the nearest angle first, then interact. Most misses on this step happen because players sprint past the actual prompt or loot through the room too early.

  3. Step 3: Find the building pictured on the whiteboard

Once you are at the point of interest, clear the nearest angle first, then interact. Most misses on this step happen because players sprint past the actual prompt or loot through the room too early.

  4. Step 4: Photograph the abandoned housing project

Once you are at the point of interest, clear the nearest angle first, then interact. Most misses on this step happen because players sprint past the actual prompt or loot through the room too early.

Where players usually throw this quest

  • Running past the actual interaction prompt. Slow down for five seconds, clear the room, and let the tracker update before leaving.
  • Taking a fight on the way out just because you hear it. Quest raids are won by discipline, not by K/D.

Miswired note

Use the named area as your anchor, then plan your extract before you touch the objective. That matters more than another backpack worth of salvage on Blue Gate.
